KISORO COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS ASSOCIATION (KCVA) has a great focus on empowering communities and women to increase control over their own lives, whilst enabling them to be economically independent and socially responsible. Through the work of our GOATS FOR THE FUTURE PROJECT kisoro Uganda strives to enable single mothers and widows in rural village settings to be economically independent and self-sustainable with increased confidence and heightened self worth .

We have always loved the idea GOATS FOR THE PROJECT TO EMPOWER WOMEN as they not only provide women with capital to start a business but also focus on education; teaching women how to save, budget and organise themselves to be financially independent. The program richly empowers the women, but in order for them to truly benefit from the program they too have a responsibility to make an effect

The program is primarily directed at vulnerable widows and young/ single mothers who are struggling in small rural villages. The women were selected based on their current situation, their level of maturity and their ability to care for the goat; a suitable compound or home in which the goat is safe, with access to grazing etc. After the women have been carefully selected,

Partners of KCVA Uganda donate goats to women through KCVA, briefing them on how the project works and their role within. KCVA Uganda is a charitable organization that was founded to help benefit small businesses and other charities. The Foundation's primary function is to provide technological services in return for charitable donations. Websites for Cures provides high quality professional web solutions to businesses who would not be able to afford it otherwise.

Goats for the future women circle's mission is to establish village-level loan hubs administered by local women, to provide capital, training and support to rural women in the lowest income brackets in KISORO,UGANDA so that they can engage in income producing activities and goats rearing

GOAT`S FOR THE FUTURE will expand the successful NYAKABINGO,kisoro, Uganda, loan hub to women in surrounding villages.

This expansion will loan to 200 women in first year, each woman will get a loan of $70 interest free. Repaid loans will be lent to another group of 200 women in second year. The indirect impact is estimated to be at least 1500 villagers including immediate family, extended family, business supplier

KCVA COMMUNITY CRAFTS GROUP , So many women live in poverty, not because they lack abilities, but because they lack opportunity. We started KISORO COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS ASSOCIATION to give women that opportunity for a better life. Each woman has a story, and with KCVA help, their stories are changing from pain and struggling to stories of HOPE through our partnerships with intern national organizations

These women have never had the chances others have , yet they are just like others in so many ways. They love their families and hope and dream of a better life for them

Through partnerships between KCVA and other organizations

KCVA is helping in marketing their products through these organizations , so they can put food on their table, a roof over their head, get medical care and an education for their children. We want to tell their stories to the world! We have a heart of empowering women and through this we have a successful non-profit organization, we have a 11 years of experience. This has given us the tools and drive we need to help women and make an impact in our communities in kisoro, uganda

Lasting impact!
